Covenants with God

Teacher: Doug Jones
Room 107/118

God’s faithful covenant keeping character is revealed in Scripture. God is the unique Covenant Keeper. He alone has the sovereign power to never fail in keeping His covenants, whether He makes one with creation, His people, or with Himself. Join us as we explore the covenants of God in Scripture.

Manners & Customs of the Bible

Teacher: Bruce Trueblood
Fireside Room

Throughout Scripture, God uses the known to explain the unknown.  From doors to lamps to wheat, ordinary items were used to explain heavenly truths. In the same way, the way things were done helped establish common ground in teaching and training. God told His children to remind each other of His goodness to the nation. This was done through national holidays as well as daily activities. By studying these customs, we gain a deeper understanding of Scripture.  We will also see the potential dangers of allowing customs to become the object of worship

It Starts at Home (Parenting Class – Video Series by Matt Chandler)

Facilitators: Pancho Duran & Justin Nelson
Room 200

Who is shaping what your kids believe? We want them to have a vibrant relationship with Christ. Church alone cannot teach them; it must start at home. This class will explore Biblical and tangible ways that parents can build a legacy of faith for their children.

Sunday Morning Prayer Group

Leader: Mike Graham
Library

Philippians 4:5-7 says, “Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near.  Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  You are invited to take part in what Paul describes as “gentleness” or the Christ-like consideration for others. Please come and join us in giving thanks, praise, and prayer
