A Biblical View of Money & God’s Principles for Managing It
Teachers: Ben McEvoy & Joel Rueber
Fireside Room

On a daily basis our culture feeds us messages about money and the things that money can buy that will fulfill us, increase our enjoyment, and make us happy…nice houses, the newest phone, vacations, new cars, and big screen TV’s. The world might even tell you to save and think about the future. However, it is typically an effort to retire at the youngest age possible and enter into endless playtime and relaxation. What does the Bible really say about money? What is the purpose of money? Is it wrong to build wealth? How does God say I should plan for the future? We will explore these questions and more as we navigate through Scripture on a topic that impacts every one of us. We’ll also take a look at some practical ways we can apply this Scripture in our lives as we strive to become the stewards that God wants us to be. We believe these two weeks will put you on a path of extracting what the Bible really says about money and some ways that we can live that out.

Adult Winter Sunday School Electives

December 17, 2017 – March 25, 2018

Faith in Action
Teacher: Gil Holcomb
Room 107/118
As believers, we are to “fight the good fight” for what we believe. We are to hold tightly to the eternal life that God has given us. As Christians, we are not only to believe in God’s truth; we must confess it and act upon it. All too often our actions are contrary to the faith we claim. Our desire should be that no one finds fault with our faith in our Creator. Join us as we assess our faith in action.
Odd Ones Out – Esther & The Song of Solomon – Is God There?
Teacher: Bruce Trueblood
Fireside Room
In Esther and Song of Solomon, the name of God is not mentioned. Neither is prayer. Yet God is clearly seen through the work of redemption and love in both of these passages.
Adorned: Living Our the Beauty of the Gospel Together (Ladies Class)
Teacher: Connie Graham
Room 200
The Titus model of older women living out the gospel and training younger women to do the same is vital. Imagine older women investing themselves in the lives of younger women, blessing whole families and churches. Imagine younger women widening their circle to include women who’ve walked further down the road. Imagine younger women being transformed by the gospel, displaying its beauty, and making it believable to those around them. This rich study of instructions to women in Titus 2 provides a road map to help you experience the kind of community and influence God designed you to have in the church and the world.
Sunday Morning Prayer Group
Leader: Mike Graham
Philippians 4:5-7 says, “Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” You are invited to take part in what Paul describes as “gentleness” or the Christ-like consideration for others. Please come and join us in giving thanks, praise, and prayer.
